Guardians

Pu’uhonua o Honaunau aka City of Refuge is a sacred location. The “Guardians ” are Ki’i akua (carvings of gods) representing Kane, the god of life and creation, and Kanaloa, the god of the ocean and long voyages. They are often depicted together.
